Sorry about the delay in replying but I only just saw your post. When I built the mold for 'Heretic' I extended further aft from the (original) transom, I added 1ft 9 ins to the length and 3 inches to the height of the hull at the sidedeck. this gave more headroom without the cabin height looking ou...

I would suggest a coat of epoxy might be beneficial

Yes,there must have been someone else as mad as I was when I made a mould & 2 complete hulls & decks in fiberglass for a stretched (17ft 9 inch) Senior in 1991/2,
It will be quite perplexing for people to identify if either of these turn up at a later date, just as with your wild duck.
